Since the beginning of the year, the Montréal CDEC job placement assistance project has been a great success and more and more employers in the west of the Island of Montréal are using this free service to find the best candidates! Thanks to the financial support of Emploi-Québec, employers have the opportunity to discover a new way of recruiting staff, through a candidate preselection service and personalized follow-up throughout the selection process.

During a brainstorming activity organized by Jocelyn Fraser, the project coordinator, the employers took stock of the means used to recruit their staff, and most of them stressed the relevance of this service. There is no doubt that it enables them to benefit from personalized follow-up and accelerates the selection process.

The accessibility of the ten business agents has contributed to the project's success. The fact that they can travel around throughout the Island of Montréal to take note of working climates on-site, as well as the specific needs of the employers, helps develop a convivial relationship of trust.

In the coming weeks, the pool of candidates will be broadened to include other categories of jobseekers, which will enable the formation of even more winning teams.
