Discovering Hidden Jobs for the Unemployed in Montréal |

In the scope of the Inter-CDEC project for better harmonization of labour, two new workers are now hard at work at the CDEC to help people receiving unemployment benefits to find jobs.
Linda Orefice, employment and staffing counsellor, and David Jozsef, business counsellor, have joined forces to analyze the needs of recent EI beneficiaries and then to suggest job offers that respond to their needs. Jocelyn Fraser will coordinate this pilot project in Montréal. By March 31, 2012, over 4000 job seekers will have gone through the doors of ten CDECs and we hope to help half of them return to the labour force through our network of partners and our links with Montréal businesses and public institutions.
