In the agreement between the Ministère des Affaires Municipals, des Régions et de l'Occupation du territoire (MAMROT) and the Ville de Montréal for the mandate of the Local Development Centre, $200,000 has been earmarked for a new second-line service for social economy businesses. It consists of providing business counselling at a rate of $10 an hour, including a diagnosis to pinpoint needs and actions that should be taken within the enterprise. The result of a pilot project carried out by six CDECs in 2006, it will offer services to complement those provided by the Emploi Québec business service and the Formaplus training mutual. The Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce CDEC will be the gateway for businesses in the area that wish to take advantage of such a service.
