For the third consecutive year, the CDEC invites all residents of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce to participate in the "I'm active in NDG" campaign, to foster the use of active transportation and public transit on the following business streets: Décarie, Sherbrooke West, Monkland and Somerled. This year, throughout the summer, more than 180 businesses are participating in this local shopping campaign. May 28 marked the beginning of the 2011 campaign. On the program this year are a series of advertisements in the local weeklies, Les Actualités Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and the Free Press, a tour of businesses and the "I'm active in NDG" contest to encourage residents to shop locally, using active transportation and public transit.

As in previous years, citizens are invited to participate in the contest to pick their favourites from among the participating businesses. Over $2400 in prizes will be won at the draw on September 10, during the Éco-Fête sponsored by the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Éco-quartier.
