On September 12, 2010, the eighth edition of the Côte-des-Neiges en fête, 5 continents, 5 sens event was once more a complete success.
Despite the overcast sky, almost 10,000 people strolled along the 2 km length of Côte-des-Neiges Road from Queen Mary Road to Kent Park to discover the talent and magic of the artists there. This year, those present had the opportunity to take part in a myriad of activities. Among them, the open house at the Côte-des-Neiges Centre communautaire de loisir, with its many activities, and Saint Kevin and Saint Pascal-Baylon churches, which welcomed people with shows and tastings of different foods. The merchants along Côte-des-Neiges Road once again held their street sale, which had started three days before. Elected officials praised the contribution, creativity and great organizational skills of the coordination committee and the involvement of over 40 volunteers, some of whom were already hard at work at seven o'clock in the morning. The coordination committee would like to thank Agathe Bruhat, responsible for programming, and the three student employees, Éve Paquette-Bigras, responsible for logistics, Patrice Ouimet, communications and sponsorship agent, and Taï Cory, responsible for volunteer management, for their excellent work and their dedication. A big thank you also to the volunteers and partners who supported us in this eighth edition. Many thanks and we'll see you again next year for the ninth edition. |
